  1. This Directory contains all the animations in the book, collected by 
  2. chapter.  Script files have been written which when called by AAPLAYHI will
  3. allow you to view either just the animations for a single chapter, or all the
  4. animations on the disc.

  6. Each animation has been given a default 100 loop count, but you abort a flic 
  7. and proceed to the next one by clicking the the right mouse button or 
  8. pressing the enter key.  
  9.  
  10. The script names correspond to the chapter headings.  CHAPTER1-8, BONUS and 
  11. ALL.
  12.  
  13. You will first need to have AAPLAYHI configured for your hardware, which 
  14. means selecting a screen size from the main program window.  This creates an
  15. AA.CFG file, meaning AAPLAYHI has to be started from your hard drive,
  16. which will probably be "C:".  See the documentation in the AAPLAYHI directory
  17. for more details.  Since there's both 320x200 and 640x480 flics, it would
  18. be best to have AAPLAYHI configured to operate in 640x480 more if possible.

  20. A Bonus selection of flics have been added of work done since the text
  21. of this book was completed.  These are either interesting effects or nice
  22. pictures.  Some (but not all) of the data files for these bonus flics have 
  23. been included in the /SRC subdirectory off bonus.  Enjoy them.
